I know most pieces are attached to a slate anchor, but how long does it take a large, dry piece of driftwood to sink? I have a large piece weighted down under a container filled with water (72 hrs. now) and my patience is running out to see it in the tank. Help?
Thx,
D

My sugggestion - if you don't remove it, he will die. Net him out and use whatever tool you need to to remove it with minimal damage. Fish are tough and will survive mild trauma with time. Better for him to be without it.

Here we go - any thoughts welcome. I have a 90 gal. tank that I want to raise some BIG fish in. I'm thinking of a couple of albino oscars, couple of JD's, couple of tin foil barbs and maybe a nice LARGE pleco. I would raise them from juveniles together to better their chances of getting along. Ned - sounds like someone needs a hug!

Truth be told - the availability you provide us aquarists to be able to enjoy the Big Guy's creations is priceless! That may not put bread on the table, but it is food for the soul.

Hang in there! :D

Ned - I'll be up this weekend to pick up about 4 quarts of that special juice you call "dirty water". Please don't let this secret out.
