Post subject: Winterize your Koi Pond Posted: Sun Oct 17, 2004 2:04 pm

This time of year it's a good idea to cover your pond with netting (we have many sizes here at Uncle Ned's) The netting helps keep some of the leaves out. Very large ammounts of leaves can decompise in the pond and sometimes wreck the water quality over the winter. Another good idea is to put in a d...

Department of Homeland Security To be fair, it's logical to suppose they have caught terrorists and can't tell us about it for security reasons. On the other hand, it took them 3 and half hours to interview Tiger Woods and his bride and their guests (How much did this cost?). Then they still kicked ...

Message: Congratulations. So far the Department of Homeland Security has kept an English Folksinger from invading the USA, has kept an American Golfer from going from Saint Kitts to Puerto Rico (Puerto Rico IS IN the USA, fearless leader), and kept an American Tropical Fish Salesman from shipping &q...

What size tank would you recommend to keep dwarf sized julies, cyps, and compressis/calvus all in one tank? I'd suggest a 50 gallon 36x18x20" or 65 gallon 36x18x25" or 55 gallon 48x13x24" or 75 gallon 48x18x22" or 90 gallon 48x18x25" or 110 gallon 48x18x30" or larger

" Tank is 65g planted with swords, java moss & fern. Fish include 8 rummy nose tetra, 8 neons, 5 corys, 1 pleco, 2 dwarf gouramis, 4 baby pearl gouramis. " If you've got a 65 gallon tank with only 28 small fish and you've got lots of particles in the water, I think your feeding too muc...

Apparently, you have not been to the the Fish Factory.
Indeed, it needs to be cleaned.
Once in a while, I get inspired,
then the phone rings.
This is not an excuse, just an explanation:
Dan and I are Irish catholic, you know.

It has always been my understanding that ALL snails eat plants, but it's possible that Japanese trapdoor don't. We normally only use japanese trapdoor in ponds outdoors. We can see snail damage but there's also always local small Pond Snails present. Short answer is I don't know but I doubt that the...

This disorder is most commonly seen in fancy goldfish like orandas. In the case of Orandas, I think it's due to the fact that they are abnormally shaped. Some fish live with the condition for years, probably due to the tender loving care provided by their owners. You should be aware that it's normal...
