I would just break the rock instead of trying to remove the coral (possibly damaging it) and trying to get it to attach to a new rock.
live rock is pretty easy to break.

You absolutely want to evict the starfish if you are going to try corals of any kind, or find a friend with a harlequin shrimp. Like Redpaulhus said, Mushrooms, Polyps, Leathers, even some brains would be ok.

Typically if you see 1 bristle worm, you have a dozen you don't see. Pretty much all reef tanks have them and never have problems with them. Arrow crabs eat them (in stock at Ned's). The only thing I have really seen have issues with the worms are clams. That's just my findings with the worms. -TheF...

How is the water quality? do regular water changes get done? poor water quality could cause the fish to break down, and then the other fish would bite at the wound.

Have you thought about putting an oscar in the tank? I am sure he would play nicely with everything, or at least end the compatability questions.
