im considering (and by considering, i mean "trying to convince my fiancee that its a good idea") setting up a tank for a pair of severums. is a 40b big enough for a pair? im also interested in finding some tankmates for them. id want ONE species of shoaling/schooling fish to go with them, ...

not to mention that the salt + heat treatment tends to be easier on the fish than tossing a bunch of bottled chemicals in the water.

or that many chemical used to treat ich also effect scaleless fish such as loaches and syno cats.

everything ive read about them says that they prefer less alkaline water, even acidic...would they do ok in a hard, alkaline environment, with such a high pH? if so, those might be what im looking for. theyre attractive little fish! it doesnt even necessarily have to be a fish you have in stock...i ...
