I got lucky, 2 females 4 males (90% sure). Still want large group. I am not complaining, but can't believe people have not snagged those fish up. I'm a Cichlid guy and could not resist. Very nice Cory's and all healthy as a horse. Don't think they have been spawned in an aquarium yet. If they have-r...

No. Not purchased from you. Could be food-I'll change up foods. I'm due to replace frozen food anyway. Always use Hikari frozen. Again, The Atlas mentioned the problem of fry dying off only in the Elioti species. Also read it somewhere else (can't remember where). Going to lower temp. to about 74-75...

Thanks-I'll see what happens this time. Making few changes. IMO-They are close to the perfect Cichlid. Very distinct, cool looking body shape. Males only get about 5 " and females smaller. The fish are always out front and active. They eat anything. Colors are spectacular on males. Females a li...

Hi, Ned, Dan, Sam etc. I have some Thoricthys Elioti. I'm aware there is a lot of confusion w/ I.D. in genus. Anyway, problem is w/fry. They breed almost as readily as Convicts, but free swimming fry usually start dying off after 4-6 weeks. Baench Atlas 3 mentions this problem (dying off) but does n...

I had a Fluval canister that always held air in it after cleaning
and starting. Everything was properly conncected, no leaks.
By tilting the canister from side to side a little bit , the air would work itself out.
I didn't put much scientific thought into it, don't know why it
worked but it did.

Ned, White worms wouldn't last 2 hours at the Fish Factory

I've kept them in the fridge, but they reproduce very slowly

60-65 degrees is good......above 70 not good

I had a tank of Multi's with a horrible BBA problem. The algae stuck on shells (about 75), glass and other equipment like glue. A stiff, filter cleaning brush worked well for getting the algae off shells, rocks etc. I would scrape the algae off the shells while they were still in the tank. Then use a...

Hi, I would add some MelaFix or PrimaFix, following the instructions. I've found it works well to help minor/moderate skin infections. It will not do any harm. I wouldn't add any more salt. I'm not aware of any of those fish needing salt. The Rift Lake Cichlids like hard water. Salt, is just one ing...

Ned, Sam, Dan, Anyone,

I'm having trouble trying to post pic's. I read Ruthe's reply
in 'General Rules' regarding uploading pic's. Is there more to it then that?

Thanks for any help....................... Tom L

Nice fish...... What about Tilapia Tholloni? Somewhat similar to Brauschi. Nice red color around throat/head area. Shape and size are close. Peaceful. I believe they are around. Also, Limbochromis Robertsi have been on order list (Ned's) recently. I have an adult trio. The colors and patterns on fis...

I've kept 'true' SAE's in my tanks for years. They seem to graze more on beard and other algae when they are young. Your better off w/ them being small.
