3 kerri tetras, 2 bumble bee gobies, 1 dwarf frog and a large clump of the tall grass like plant. This morning (8 days later) I noticed a white dot on one of my fish... No one ever mentioned
having raised them.
I see pregnant ones all the time.
I suspect
the big ones eat the eggs or babys.
It would be a fun experiment, I assume they are easy.

Put a big foam block on the intake of the pump in the sump.
Just be sure to clean it fairly often.

as far as brown algae goes...
just get some Oto cats, they'll clean the plant leaves for you

as far as enough light for Java fern goes ...
I'd say a minimum of 0.5 watts per gallon
and
a minimum of 5 hours of light per day
(maximum of 12 hours of light per day)

I think I'd wait...
I put 2" Mbuna in with 5" Mbuna

and 1/2" in with 1.5"

but never 1/4" in with 3"

The odor is certainly not Hydrogen Peroxide (I had to google "H2O2") If you mean Hydrogen Sulphide...the answer is maybe. Personally, I prefer to have uncovered tanks .... I call it gas exchange.... unfortunately, many species of fish jump so they need to be covered this is an advantage of...

what's that purple edge I'm look at... and what is that space I'm seeing?..... if your tank is 30.25 inches x 12.25 inches on the outside molding, your stand needs to be the same dimensions , if not 0.25 inches wider.... that tank weighs 300 pounds full of saltwater ...you want to spread the 300 pou...
