We lost (2) of our larger - 2" size loaches in the past 2 days. There were no signs of any issues, they were just laying on the bottom of the tank, one I found yesterday and the other today. I have 2 more smaller ones that are not so shy and they seem fine. We added 4-6 tetras last Saturday and...

We have some snails who appear to be suffering from calcium deficiency, shells are soft/eroding and they are turning white. what can we do to supplement the calcium? I've read a few things around suggesting cuttlebones, but those are high salt. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Marcy

Thanks, we were talking about them with Sam earlier when he showed us the pit bull pleco you have which looks completely different. These are about 1 1/2" and at the widest part about 1/4" wide.

The images are not cropped, they are straight off the phone.

Do you have any Galaxy danios left? We bought 3 this weekend, but when we released only 2 were Galaxy's. The 3rd is an unknown spastic fish that I can't get a picture of. It's the same size and shape as the Galaxy but its translucent with red stripe running horizontal down the middle (it's a muted r...

Should we lose power, a friend mentioned they made oxygen tablets that you can put in the tank, I've not seen them anywhere has anyone used them or knows where I can find them? Our plan is to consolidate the fish into 1 tank and we ha...

We are not sure what is happening. This is or was an established tank with no issues. We did the 2 additional water changes as suggested, all was fine yeseterday. Tonight we come home 1 tetra, 1 white cloud dead. We are now down to one Swenilli (sp) loach, orange cory, 1 white cloud, 5 tetras and 1 ...

Will do the additional water changes tomorrow. They were fine Friday evening, all of them. The larger pleco had been out and about before we left.

So at most he was dead 2 days. It's just strange it was only the bottom feeders. Tetras, white clouds are all fine.
