Tetraodon schoutedeni “very rare” 3-4” $600. ea https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sq9qfibRldw A video of a group of this puffer, which is mentioned in books but hasn't been available for a long time. Tail looks like an Mbu tail. Baensch atlas says it's semi-peaceful, it looks like it gets along in gro...

Thanks for responding to all those questions. The thing is, all different books say different things, and they are often really severe, someone said leaf fish die if you don't have a rigorous feeding schedule (how often and how much.) What were they smoking?

I have no idea what to put in it. It has the surface almost completely covered with plants, so the light is pretty dim, and a few plants and pieces of roots in it as well. (What special plant light should I get and what fertilizers should I put in? And, what should the light cycle be?) I might put i...

I guess they had to be poisoned, because the temperature was fine. I noticed that the pH test I was sold (from ANOTHER STORE OF COURSE) was, surprise, actually for marine tanks. I don't know if this makes that much of a difference because that's also a high range of pH. The thing about all this is t...

ALL FIVE of my new fish died OVER NIGHT. They were obviously healthy when I got them. They seemed healthy when I put them in the tank. Three were active, two were being stationary and hiding. The water had a pH of 8 and I honestly didn't test the water for ammonia. So that probably explains it. BUT,...

In my spiny eel tank, I tested the water and it is not what Tanganyikan water is supposed to be. The pH is too low, basically. I only use cichlid buffer, and don't add any other salt or pH changing additives. The eel is fine right now, but I don't want it to drop dead mysteriously, like my male kill...

The eel looks healthy, its color is good, it is active, I showed it to a friend who thinks it is perfectly fine. But I do see some tiny sugar crystal like spots on it. I don't know if it still eats and acts healthy when it has already had ich to the point that it shows up on its body. Is it too risk...

Because I have been feeding it frozen brine, the water got unexpectedly dirty (because of all the loose pieces of food) which probably got it sick in the first place. Right now the water is clean and the pH is about 8. I put in cichlid salts, so should I check the salinity and make sure it's high en...

Unfortunately I've done something wrong and the tanganyikan spiny eel has a few white spots that are probably ich. It eats alot and swims around when it thinks I'm going to feed it, but it looks like it has ich. It doesn't seem stressed otherwise. I treated it with Paragon 2 a week ago, and left for...
