Ned,

Can you bring in a 20 gallon tall for me? Oak finish to match the rest of them.

Can you also get large clumps of Java Fern (Microsorum pteropus) this is one of the few that does well in the african tanks.......... I know .......plants in an african tank. I enjoy the punishment.

If you look around you can find everything you need. I saw fixtures and ballest that would mount right in after you remove the mounts that are there.

Figure out what you are going to keep in the tank and Ned can set you up with the proper lighting type.

Hi, Clarity Plus is now "Casco Group, Clarity Plus" they merged. You may have difficulty duplicating the original set-up. There are many retrofit options available. Ned may be able to help you get the parts. http://www.casco-group.com/USFS-seaclear.html CASCO Illinois Clarity Plus 203 Berg...

Hi,

I also keep java moss in all my tanks. It appears the the hard alkaline water slows growth. The only problem is that I can not get enough.

Hi Ned, Trying to settle a discussion with a co-worker. The question is.... My new oceanic system set up a few weeks ago has an odor coming from water, what is it? He opens the cover for a while and it goes away, closes it for 6 hours and it comes back. I suggested it may be H2O2 coming from some de...

Hi,

I agree with Ned on putting it below surface. It will look more natural.

Hi,

I put in a pond in last spring using a Savio Living Ponds kit. 12'x9'x38". It did run into a few bucks, but we enjoy it. Right now I just have an air pump keeping a hole in the ice open. So far so good. I will post a pic later.

Hi, There does not seem to be a clear opinion on the salt subject...... except for one. Never ever put Table Salt in your aquarium. (someone else will tell you why) Stick with what your doing. I use Instant ocean in all my Rift Lake tanks. The salt level is about 0.10%. I get no complaints. Breeding...

Hi, I have had good results by moving everything without cleaning off any of the goo. Use your old filter without cleaning it for at least a month. Reuse as much of the original water as possible. And treat new water ahead of time for PH, Hardness and of course use a chlorine remover. I swear by Nov...

Somebody gave me a setup they no longer wanted. It came with a nice 4" clown loach. I don't think he will do well with Africans. Any opinions?
