How would you keep your fish that require cold water, cold? chillers?

I've noticed that in the general area (4 towns) all of the small petshops do not heat the tanks for their tropical fish... is there a reason for this?

I'm curious as to what people think about a petshop raising some of its stock in the store.


Things like:

1. Guppies

2. Mollies

3. Swordtails

And selling them then offering them at a slightly higher price but giving a 1 week agreement on living or replacing them for free?

I currently have 2 tanks, a 29 gallon and a 75 gallon. After setting up the tanks and letting them run with water for around 2 days. I add in several fish, sailfin mollies, guppies, and ghost shrimp. Thats very true, the old buisness was in jewelry... Lets see yearly expenses for stocking that place? 80 to 150k which you might take 5 years to sell lol. Well I'm considering it,


1. I have no family to feed.
2. I already have a shop,parking and such from an old family business :lol:
