You need to treat the main tank and now the additional tank you have the infected fish in. I've used the salt and heat method before. I increased my heat to 86 degrees (Supposedly it kills the parasite while it's in the water). I added one tablespoon of salt (non iodized) per 5 gallons of water. Kee...

I've never had my power go out for a long period of time. I know a lot of people use battery powered air pumps just to keep oxygen in the water. The temp drop isn't too much of an issue as long as it doesn't get too cold.

I haven't noticed anything. I even checked the HTML and didn't see anything other than what should be there.

I'd actually advise against feeding cichlids beef heart. It's a VERY poor food and can shorten their lives (So I've read).

I have two, one in each of my tanks. They were fine at first but the one tripled in size within 2 months and is more aggressive than the cichlids. The other that for some reason hasn't grown is only slightly aggressive. Because of this I'm actually considering taking them out.

I meant to ask you while I was there but I have a horrible memory... Would you take on trade/store credit two Melanochromis Auratus (About 2"), a very nice looking Metriaclima estherae (About 2"), and possibly a Metriaclima pyrsonotos (I think... About 2.5"). I can also post pictures ...
