Thanks, sounds great. it's the actinic light that is burned out but it's probably about time to do them both anyhow. I'll give you a jingle.

Ned- I purchased a small "Currents-USA" brand light from you quite awhile back. I just noticed one of the lights burned out at some point. I checked the fixture for any type of model numbers or things I could identify the unit so that I might buy a replacement light...no luck. From memory,...

I have a 35 gallon tank that I switched to saltwater last october. I was told that a smaller tank can be more difficult to setup because the changes in the tank propogate quicker...I honestly haven't had any serious issues with it. I bought a beginners book on marine tanks. It actually recommended a...

Hey folks, It's been awhile since I've posted...which I guess is a good thing because my tank has made it past the 6 month mark with no fish casualties...Lots of thanks to everyone here who has helped me make it this far. I'm sure there are plenty of other people who have come and gone so I'll recap...

ok thanks for the heads up. I read so many differing opinions on this hobby that it's tough to decipher what is truth and what is fiction. I'll work on getting "ALIEN" into the main tank. I plan on doing some rearranging in the future and maybe adding some more corals, so that is when that...

I was planning a trip out to neds either today or tomorrow but my kid came down with a fever, so I decided to hit up the LFS instead. Grabbed an arrow and I tossed him in my 10 gallon quarantine tank that I've got a couple of rocks in that are infested with bristleworms. I just wasted 45 minutes wat...

that pretty much sums it up...thanks. I've got a good variety of different algaes growing. I've got some really dark red, deep purples, pinks and some greens. I cleaned my filter and did a water change today and I found a little baby bristleworm in my filter media. I really need to do something abou...

that stinks. The arrow crab is one creepy looking guy. If he's going to be around, I think I'll put him in the 10 gallon with the live rock that is bristleworm infested.

Do you foresee any problems adding them in with 35 gallon hex...it may even be 42, not sure. (2) Clowns (1) Convict damsel (1) Blue Damsel (1) (Court Jester?) Goby (1) Algae blenny Of course...

I'll shoot a picture of it when I have a chance. I do have some greenish algae that seems to grow in sheets on the walls of the tank. This stuff comes off pretty easily with the scrubber. But what I was inquiring about is these green patches. They are very similar to the purple/pink algae that grows...

So my tank is pretty much kicking along, haven't had any of my fish friends die and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this event doesn't happen anytime soon. I'm a big fan of the coralline algae and have been trying to promote the growth of it. This is coming along nicely, it takes patience I'm fi...

I've read that the longnose hawkfish as well as the coral banded shrimp are big fans of eating BRISTLEWORMS! I'm seriously contemplating picking these guys up and tossing them into the tank to take care of the worms. However; for the time being, my wife setup her 10 gallon tank as marine and we took...
