In my experience, demasoni are extremely shy fish even in the company of dithers. I had a tank of 28 of them some years ago and they would not come out of the rockwork often, even to feed. I included 4 rainbowfish as dithers but it did not help. When food was added the individual fish would quickly ...

Hi Ned I currently have about 15 Paracyp. nigripinnis(1"), 8 N. helianthus(<1") and a whole mess of Telmatochromis sp. "orange scribble" 1" or less. Also 5 2"-3" P. igneopinnis, 4 2"-3" Pseudo sp. "flameback" and 4 2"-3" Tilapia snyder...
